This policy explains what information The Cozy Spaces collects when you visit thecozyspaces.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions about it can go to contact@thecozyspaces.com.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and which product links they click. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit, how you reached the site, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. We use these reports only to improve the site. If you're in the EU, UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. You can also block these cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Affiliate links and third-party cookies
Many product links on this site are affiliate links. The Cozy Spaces is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. We also take part in other retailers' affiliate programs.
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network (for example Amazon) may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser so it can tell that you came from our site and credit us if you make a purchase. These third parties may also collect information about your visit for their own purposes, including interest-based advertising, under their own privacy policies. For links to retailers other than Amazon, we also keep a simple record of each click: which product, which page it was on and the visitor's country. We don't store your IP address or anything that identifies you with these records.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and where on the site you subscribed. We only send the newsletter after you confirm your address. Emails are sent through our email provider, Resend. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your address at any time.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by email with the name and email address you enter, so we can reply. We don't add them to the newsletter.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing contact@thecozyspaces.com. We don't sell your personal information.
Visitors in the EU and UK: under the GDPR and UK GDPR you also have the right to restrict or object to how we use your data, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on your consent for analytics cookies and the newsletter, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site for click records and hosting. Some of the services above are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. You can complain to your local data protection authority.
Visitors in the United States: depending on your state, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act give you the right to know, correct and delete the personal information we hold, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. Use “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” at the bottom of every page to turn off analytics, the opt-out links above for advertising cookies, or email us.
